What Are Invisible Dental Braces

Invisible braces have been a great invention in the field of dental science. They are so comfortable to wear and never play a hindrance while talking or eating. They don’t cause any kind of discomfort or pain either. The best part is they are totally invisible unless somebody takes a close look to identify them. Apart from this, there is no metal wire or bracket involved in the making of invisible braces.

Invisible dental braces are also known as plastic trays. These braces are made from plastic and they need to be changed every two weeks. The dentist takes a mold of the patient’s teeth and then uploads the image into the computer and uses the software to determine what kind of braces the patient may need exactly. The plastic braces are made according to the nature of the dentition and then installed into the patient’s mouth.

They are virtually translucent and the alignment of the teeth happens just as it happens with the metal braces. Invisible braces are more expensive when compared with the metal braces but effective enough and comfortable to wear. The advantage with invisible braces is that they are created with a 3 dimensional modeling with the use of computer software. The dentist creates a series of transparent aligners to be fixed onto the teeth which will be changed often.

The conventional braces get painful and create sores in the mouth in the beginning which requires salt water rinsing of the mouth. There are no such requirements while using invisible braces. They are totally comfortable to put on and remove while removing and wearing metal and lingual braces can be a little bit complicated.

There are no food restrictions to be followed while using invisible braces and you can comfortably eat anything and everything which is not allowed in case of concealed and metal braces.
